Joining the Camp VIP team Like every ministry, camp happens because faithful, caring folks know how important it is to provide the benefits of camp experience. As you consider how you may be of service to Camp VIP, we consider how we may be of service to you. We truly believe that each camp community that forms around one of our programs is brought together by the Father, with express purpose that is His to reveal. Many times we hear how someone came to give and instead received blessings beyond compare. As you complete your forms, know that you are lifted already in the prayers of camp and we are already looking forward to working together this year. How to Apply etc. etc. About Camp VIP Started in 1975 and originally called Presbytery Camp, Camp VIP is a ministry whose focus has always been sharing the Gospel with children, youth and adults in a camp environment. With support and guidance from the Presbytery of Vancouver Island, our committee meets monthly year-round to plan and pray over the ministry. As such, we are able to explore many opportunities for gathering and have taken children and youth to several locations including Saltspring Island and Hornby Island, and in more recent years Cowichan Lake Education Centre and Rathtrevor Provincial Park, all beautiful Vancouver Island sites. We continue to pursue new settings for programs and hope to broaden our outreach further with new initiatives. Our ministry continues solely on the generosity of its 13 congregations and takes advantage of programs like Thrifty’s Smile cards and Canadian Tire money to help campers with bursaries and purchase needed equipment and supplies. |

Health and Safety
· Campers’ health, safety and comfort are essential for a memorable and care-free camp experience. Our infirmary is well equipped to provide quality care, with the additional support of local hospitals nearby. · A registered nurse or licensed paramedic is always on site and they work closely with staff to ensure camper care, safety and health. · Waterfront staff hold National Lifeguarding Service certification; as well there are several staff members who hold Bronze Cross certification. · All staff and volunteers undergo criminal background checks. · Meals are generous, well planned and nutritious. Served in a ‘family style’ setting, three balanced meals and an evening snack are served daily. |
